The fortress world of Strygos is a dead world orbiting a dull red sun. Its only interesting features are the crumbled Xenos ruins found upon its airless surface from a time in unimaginable antiquity and its tactical significance to the Angevin Crusade when combating the ruthless Yu’vath. It was taken and fortified by the Iron Templars and became a formidible planet. Its lack of an atmosphere means the massive macrobatteries and lances built into the rock are unimpeded. The reinforced missile silos wait to unleash atomic death upon any capitol ship foolish enough to approach. The Iron Templars maintained Strygos as a fortified bastion until the majority of the chapter vanished in the Licenian crusade. Strygos is now maintained as a training ground and barracks for billions of Imperial Guardsmen, its four orbital shipyards are docking and resupply facilities for the Imperial Navy. Strygos’ relative proximity to Ichabarr means a significant military force can be dispatched by the Lord-Sector with significant speed.
